Are students required to work on each other? We always encourage students to work on each other, there really isn't a better time to practice. We always perform a demonstration of the treatment prior to you practicing. On our eyelash extensions course students will start working on a mannequin head before starting to work on each other. Students will only perform a patch test, where you will place 2 or 3 eyelash extensions on to the outer corner of your partners eye and then remove the extensions. However, if students are unable to have this done then your work will be marked with the lashes you have applied to the mannequin head. Therefore, it is advised that students attend the class prepared for example, contacts will need to be removed (please ensure you bring your contact solution and case) and minimal eye-makeup (preferably non at all). However, eye-makeup remover will be provided on the day of training if needed.
-
Will I need to bring a model? In most cases no models are required; students will work on each other for the practical element. If the course has an uneven number of students you may be asked to bring your own model however, you will be contacted in advance.
